SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA - 1st September, 2008 - FastAs has launched a global directory to service Internet and Mobile Phone users. By coupling conventional directory facilities with integrated contact services FastAs provides a way to be contacted via a public directory without actually revealing your contact numbers or addresses.
“There is a crisis of confidence with many services because of the rampant abuse of personal information” said Carl Peatman, FastAs CEO. “In addition to traditional postal and landline directories, there are now over 1 billion eMail users and 3.5 billion mobile phone subscribers who are currently denied one of the most basic of communications services.

The FastAs directory is an internet facility that enables subscribers to create their own listings on-line and to be contacted by their choice of eMail, SMS, telegram, fax and surface mail – regardless of whether they choose to publicly list their contact details. Subscribers can also publish their preferred call type and contact times, business contact details, etc and can also list themselves under aliases (even in other languages). The free search functions include both alphabetic and phonetic options.
